Self Illuminated Exit Sign

I wonder how effective these would be? It's quite an interesting way of lighting an exit sign.

My Traser watch has radioactive tritium and it’s now what you’d call bright. Visible in almost total darkness but I can’t imagine this would work well with other emergency lighting in use.
I’m not sure I’d want loads of these being used tbh, those vials look quite large and any breakage means you have a nice radioactive gas being released!

Yeah, I doubt it's very bright at all but maybe just enough if the room is totally dark. I would rather have a normal 8w exit sign any day!

Modern Strontium Aluminate filled plastic signs light up the entire room for quite some time. One like that could easily pass 3 hour test as an exit sign.. Provided that it's been illuminated up to the start of the outage
