Hallam Mill Stockport

Postby BC5-80 » Thu Jul 02, 2020 11:05 am

Remember that mill outbuilding close to me with all the NOS and well-ripened old tubes in their hot and dusty loft? I've had a text from them that they are looking to close the business. They are waiting for the go-ahead of an auction to sell off all stock in one go. If anyone wants to have a rummage before it's too late, better do so quick. Let me know. I can be available any time to suit. (You'll need overalls, preferably a dust mask, a head torch and a bottle of water. :) )
They appear as Timber and Tools on eBay.

Sorely tempted! My "collection" has turned into a "hoard" however, so probably shouldn't, not sure there'd be anything left there I'd like for the collection?

Forgetting the tubes in the loft, I do wonder what other rare & interesting things are amongst that stock?

Not a lot else really. It's mostly tools and hardware. I hear you on "hoard". Me too.

Ironic. I've bought woodcarving tools from them on EBay before.

I couldn't go, much too far for me but I saw those GLS lamps on FB, maybe some could be posted seeing as they are smaller items?

For any personal visitors I've got their opening times: from 13:30 on Mons, Weds and Fris. PM me here or on fb to arrange a visit, with advance apologies if I don't see it quickly. I'm only on-line when on PC or laptop.
