Germicidal lamp for vacuum cleaner

Came across this small germicial lamp for a Hoover Mattress vacuum cleaner. It looks like a 4w tube. It has larger end caps that usual.

The Chinese cannot make germicidal lamps in soft glass, because that special UV-Transmitting glass is only produced in Holland and Hungary. So they make their germicidal lamps from quartz instead. The pinch-seals of quartz lamps are nearly always on the outside rather than inside, and the reason for the unusual caps is to cover up the longer seals.
