1989 and today...

Postby PeterG » Wed Jan 06, 2021 12:12 am

Screen shot taken from Only Fools and Horses Series 7 'He ain't heavy, he's my uncle'.
Filmed 1989/1990 - and as unbelievable as it is, along side the exact same location today.
Whapping Wall, London.
Look at those lovely old concretes and SOX lanterns!

My aunt and uncle live about 100m from there! Walked over that many times!

The classic TV series, On The Busses has some rare old street lighting on it, a lot of high power mercs on the main roads in the 60s!

Angry Horse - there's some classic stuff in those shows. I watched 'Nuns on the run' tonight - I can't believe how many old gems are in that movie - including posttop twin fluorescent lanterns - loads of them

Sly spark - Its a nice area that - cool to know it was a film location too!
