Unsurprisingly, no one has bought it, yet!

Indeed, complete rubbish. There are also other 2D ones on there in original condition for a third of the price so I doubt they will sell!
Surely the whole point of selling something that's "vintage" is to leave it in original condition, not ripping it apart and putting modern crap in.

How to ruin something decent in one easy step. He'd probably have sold those with the 2D's in, even if not working. Bet he won't sell them now.

Have seen exactly the same with a classic 15w fluorescent desk lamp where someone had ruined it with an LED conversation. Just leave well alone!
