I don't think it's even worth that any more. I'm sure scrap value is a lot less.....

Wouldn't surprise me at all! Seems to be the way it goes these days:

1) Buy it off eBay or from the local lighting depot for fuck all
2) Turn it into something 'vintage' and 'fashionable' by completely fucking it up
3) Sell it for about 20 times what it's worth cos now it's 'designer' 'chic' 'steampunk' or whatever other words you can think of to make it sound like it's actually worth what you've advertised it for
4) Sit back and rub your hands with glee IF it actually sells.......

What a hideous abomination. What use could that serve other than to dazzle from the side? I bet it falls over easily as well.
