Funny what pops up in your feed on eBay sometimes. Still manufactured under the GEC name in Australia as late as 1997 (capacitor date). I won't be buying this, it's a little expensive and then there;s the international postage on top. I'd love some Australian lanterns, but postage for anything from there is more than excessive!

Interesting that this one has an alloy canopy and not the GRP ones we had here!

GEC Lighting - Australia eventually got swallowed up by the Rexel Group (the same people who own WF Senate, Wilts, Newy & Eyre and a few others here, all of whom are about to be rebranded as just 'Rexel'.
