The general public's understanding of fuses

Put anything here that's badly designed/made, failed, catastrophically exploded or just an epic fail in a general sort of way.

The general public's understanding of fuses

Postby HIDLamp » Wed Aug 31, 2016 10:18 pm

Fake Britain was on this morning and they were discussing fake plug fuses. They went out asking random people what they knew about them. One lady said that the '13 'A'' is for the iron, the '5 'A' is for the kettle and the pink one is universal. Thing is it keeps most of you in a job.

LOL, I`ve seen a single strand of copper from flex wound around the fuse pins, (several times), before!
It looked like a tiny transformer in the plug!
