... but a road near me has just had it's mixed bag of old SOX and the odd SON lanterns replaced with LED.
The first time I noticed was when I went down that road at night and noticed the yellow light is now white and I was truly staggered at how bloody good the road lighting is now... The difference is almost night and day!
They have been fitted to the original columns too which are mostly old concrete ones with the odd steel sleeved one. I'm not sure what type they are yet but I've not seen them before.

If they last as long as they claim...

Seen a few LED installations where the lighting level is good and not dazzling, but I have to admit this is the exception, rather than the norm. One thing tho, they're not going to last as long as the discharge fittings they replaced, it's just not going to happen.

The best LED re-fit I have seen here to date, are with Holophanes Factor Large.
The worse is with Ampera Minis!

Again it remains to be seen how long they will last!!!! If the £500 Kirium Davy took out last week is anything to go by....not good! As you don't have Facebook rich I'll post it for you here!
