Last week i put some lighting around my new place (still not everything installed, and most of the lanterns wired temporarily with plugs). 1 125W MBF, 2 70W SON/Is, 4 150W SON-Ts. Now doing something, not just silently laying in the collection

And my back garden, another 150W SON-T, installed a while back

I started with a 55watt SOX in the back garden, and over the years I have tended to `overlight` it, with each lamp going higher and higher in wattage, until it peaked at 250watt in 2011!
I have quite a large garden, but its not that big to warrant 26,000 lumens!, since 2011 I have been slowly reducing it until its reached what it is now, plenty well lit, @ 4000K, without being over powering.

And although I never got one complaint, I felt it didn`t need 2 50watt SON-T at the bottom, and when I put the Uni-street up, the colour mix also didn`t look right with SON, this as well as energy bills that will just keep getting bigger and bigger, my outside total load has gone from being 275watts to just 73watts today, and although the LED don`t have the output of all the HID, its still plenty and adequate for the space.

I'm with ash you just can't beat the colour and warmness from SON T I like lighting and one downside to the lighting hobby is big energy bills once I find out if I'm getting my planning or not I'll be putting my 5Kw wind turbine up properly to go with my 4Kw solar to keep the bills down

Im one step behind rich i am considering replacing my 18w SOX bulkhead for my PowerLite bulkhead running a 50w SON T as im extremely low on lamps for it. And i have an N358 Osram in at the minute which could go black

And no end of Philips and GE 50w Lamps plus a few venture

I also have those Pearl GE THORN 50w SON Es from paul that i may try out for a few days

White light? it's more blue with most of them, completely wrong!
