They miss the fact, that most louvers won't even fit on anything except the very original fitting. They can be same manufacturer, same model, different version (from different year) and the clipping springs won't be in the same place

Correct Ash, also nobody's going to buy the louvres separately anyway, and the small market for second hand 2ft lay-ins are going to want them complete.

Always annoyed me when people do this. There's a lantern on eBay at the moment, with the bowl listed separately, that would put me off bidding, as you're not guaranteed to win both. The seller would have done better to have listed them both in the same lot, even if they then want to charge more to post as 2 packages, rather than one. Might also mean the seller sells the bowl to someone needing a spare, but is then stuck with the lantern canopy.
