These are what I'm using atm, seem very good and a decent price. Currently (including postage) about £2.50 each, but I'm gonna see what they might do a bulk order of a couple of hundred for.

Might get a couple for the twin 100w 8ft in the garage. EFS600’s really didn’t like it when I tried them.

Newer EFS600's will work fine Mark. These LEL's will do the job nicely also, I've got four LEL's in regular use and loads of EFS600's and haven't had any issues so far.

Its not them making them in 4p metal cans ???
The thyristor in the pic looks like an STI tn22, that's the same as used in many other electronic starters and in some batches of Perfect Start ballasts (the rest use Y1112 that i think was discontinued)
