I've never considered using an electronic ballast for the 14w's.
I'd be tempted to give that a go but 14W T12's being as rare as they are in the UK I wanted to ideally to drive them magnetically with a pulsestater as that seems to be the best way at keeping tubes going for a long time.
The best ballast I've found so far is that 30W one I got for doing 2 15w's in series.
It ran fine for almost 12 hours but past that it went off. I assumed the thermal kicked in and knocked it off which can't be good for the windings but it could be down to something else.
I may just end up running them off of a pair of bog standard T8 18W ballasts. I wouldn't want to as the tubes get quite hot so can't imagine it's doing them much good and I'd rather have a knackered common ballast than a pair of knackered unusual tubes.

Also does anyone know why attachments don't work?

So many mystery pictures have passed me now and it's starting to not be very fun.

Tempted to order one of these tubes for a nosy myself because if they're high CRI and pump out a lot of lumens in a 15inch space they'd make a great front room fitting!
(edit) Just ordered a couple we'll see what they're like soon.

Click on 'forum/' on the index page, I think 'forum3/' that you are on is an old version of LR?

Yeah, trying things with forum3 in breaks all the images, looks like an older version of the software still floating around on the server at a glance.

one thing in the US that 14 watt dedicated ballast for 14 watt tubes have not been
made since 1950s. what replace is bit
of one size fit all apporch for 14 to 20 watts
fluorescent. meaning it sliightly over drives
the F14 while 15 watt T8/12 runs perfectly
and underdrives the 20 watt T12s

oh BTW if you want Halophosphor
2 ft T8s just order some American
24 inch T8 appliance lamps there you
have 4100K cool white or daylight 6500k
it runs at 18 watts

2 foot 17 watt HF tubes works very well
and you have more colour choices
but it has higher arc voltage and lower current draw making it interesting on 15 watt gear.

Got a couple yesterday.
They were 14W and I was also going to keep them but one was knackered so the bloke's gonna send me 2 30W ones.
The one I do have is a very nice tube though.
it's seen heavy hours of usage but the colours off of it are some of the richest I've seen off of a fluorescent.
The bloke told me to keep the working one too so now I need to make fitting for it.
Picture on the gallery comparing it to my 3000K DX 15" 14W.

The 30W HO ones arrived today.
Before I do something stupid with them do I need special gear to drive them.
Never used a HO 15W before.

just double up on 15 watt chokes. these will run fine.
