SOX PSG LOSS OF VACUUM?

Postby Danny » Thu May 09, 2019 3:30 pm

Anyone here know how you tell if a PSG SOX lamp has lost vacuum in the outer jacket? The lamp i have here takes ages to warm up and when it does it does not warm up at the cap end. I cannot tell if it is loss of vacuum? I think it is but how do i test for it?

Do the BCs still have those little machined ‘squares’ in them?, blow into the cap on a cold morning, see if it condensates on the inside of the outer tube?
