T5 to T8 tube converters - seen it all now!

Ok, so, what the fuck are these about - don't they just look such good quality. If anyone was stupid enough to put a T5 fitting in in the first place, why would you then add these things - look like the lamp will take a dive to the floor the second you install it - what a pile of shite!

Yea, love the way they rest right against the tube, right next to the cathode. Bet they're heat resistant too....
