That’s ok rich that’s your piece of history there! Would be nice if people could just keep an eye on eBay for some cheap ones ETC.

I do hope they show up Kev.
I find it hard to imagine anyone stealing them from under your nose when you've been kind enough to host the meets and accommodate so many people!

That's unbelievable and I'm appalled. Sadly I don't have any spare 4-pin starters as they're all in fittings / in use.
I'm probably strange and over sensitive but I even felt guilty about rooting uninvited through your tubes and testing one or two in the fittings on the wall before returning them to where I found them. I don't recall seeing a red pot. Where was it?

Re: 4 pin Fluorescent starters
After all the effort that Kev puts in to host and make these weekends happen, it would be unbelievable if someone has nicked them from him.
I sincerely hope that this wasn't an act of theft and they turn up somewhere having merely been moved by mistake or similar.

Agreed with the others, that's just dickhead behaviour. You go to all the trouble of opening your own home (in a sense) up for other peoples entertainment just to have someone do this is senseless. I do hope this guilt trips someone to give them back or at least say they may have have been put elsewhere. I only have two 4 pin starters myself so can't really help unfortunately.

I guess we'll all have to keep our eyes peeled on eBay, urbex trips, etc to see if we can find any replacements!

Nick you can try as many of my tubes as you want it doesn’t matter which ones they are all there to be used and I’m happy to see it. Danny maybe right however there was a NOS osram 4 pin in a little plastic packet that’s gone. However whoever it was didn’t get my air thermal ones as I keep them down the bottom!

Nice starter there, and 125W. It's the first time I've seen "thermal" specified. Is that normal? I usually see how it works in practice to work out if it's thermal or glow. Thermal is just like pulse starter with the 2 second (or longer) preheat.
