The units we have at work are crap and drafty so we have a nice arctic breeze passing through. However today I noticed that all the 2015 Philips Masters in the 4x18W mods were running about 1/2 output when the wind picked up. The older 2012 Philips, GEs and a Crompton weren't affected

Our maintenance office, (a shipping container)!! , is fitted with 4 6 foot twin weather packs, but you should see the cold arse (dull pink) tubes first thing in the morning!

Can be seen here too sometimes. But in weather packs they appear to still be able to warm up after a while (i experimented with a 36W weather pack and 2x9W PL bulkhead placed outside in the cold on a pole, for max wind exposure)

Tunnels have been in -7 temperatures all fired up ok all be it a bit dim for 5 minutes

The switch start (electronic starters) 5ft T12s in my garage haven't been too bad, slightly dim on first strike but brighten up within a minute or so. The HF T8 above my bench takes a bit longer.

At work there's a tunnel lit with them 51w Philips Eco things and they're very, very dim! They only really achieve a decent brightness above 10°C ambient. On the box it says they need 20°C+ for full output!

My twin 8 fts in the garage have been struggling to start and are a bit dim for several minutes. Good job the cathode preheat gives enough light to get into the freezer!

Electronic starter upgrade required

I did try some a while ago but they really didn’t like it. The stated flickering and the starters got red hot!

Eh!? Never seen that. What type were they? I've used LEL Multipulse & EFS600's with no issues
