Worst I ever saw was a camping shop £8.50 for a crompton 8W white and £16 for a GE 4 pin 16W 2D

Sadly, too many people really take the piss, especially with items like these which are not 'every day' for most people. The average consumer would have no idea what a fluorescent tube should cost, only people who are in the trade or buy them on a regular basis really have any idea.
