Any sort of fluorescent Light fittings, lamps, CFLs basically anything that has a fluorescent tube! Any experiments or basically any info or help anyone needs post it here!

Using a TCL ballast on a linear fluorescent.

I have a question about electrical ballasts.
Can you use a TCL one on linear fluorescents?
The ballasts for these types of fluorescents.

Would they work or die early?

HF

PL-L 18W ballasts - most of them are also for 24W
PL-L 24W - T5 24W
PL-L 36W (40W) - T5 39W
PL-L 55W - T5 54W T5
PL-L 80W - T5 80W T5

Magnetic

PL-L 18W - T8 18W
PL-L 36W - T8 36W (2x18W)

PL-L 24W - normally there is no special magnetic ballast for the 24W lamp (it uses the same as 18W). But. PL-C 26W normally runs on the same ballast too. I seen some shorter (smaller size than normal) ballasts for "26W PL-C only". There might be "24W PL-L only" ballast out there as well (it would be electrically identical to the "26W only" ballast anyway). A ballast like this will overheat with 18W PL-L or T8
