LED is a Hit and Miss I have seen Good LED lighting but also Some BAD LED Lights and Lamps,

Hi Colin, the thing I don't like about led is that there is no routine maintenance schedule like with HID so say you have a road lit with 70W SON sometime within every 4-6 years someone like Davy will go to the lanterns give them a clean and a lamp. With led it could be 2 weeks or it could be 20 years. As led gets better it's going to be closer to the 20 year mark meaning less work for us and with the influx of Eastern Europeans working for pennies it's going to make life for us harder as time goes on!

I don`t know Kev, as soon as Urbis have destroyed the street lighting world with the shit their making, we will ALL go back to HID! :roll:

131 watt SOX-E produces 200 Lumen per Watt. ;)

If you look at some street lighting diodes, their shining through a magnifying type glass.
I wonder if you can do the same with a tiny arc, but try and magnify it x 10????, saying that though, it it could be done, I suppose it would have been?
