Rip-Off!

Put anything here that's badly designed/made, failed, catastrophically exploded or just an epic fail in a general sort of way.

Rip-Off!

Postby Slyspark » Mon Jul 01, 2019 10:02 pm

Is it just me, or are people taking the piss with prices more and more on eBay these days? This prick wants over £1,000 for a fluorescent fitting he's bodged an LED tube into....

What a twat!

That really is taking the wee wee. I'd love to know the logic that can justify that price

It is getting terrible on there now. The prices of SOX lamps have risen to worse then what coughtrie stuff is listed at, and that is stupid as well. Around 10 year ago you could get a sox lamp off there for less than £10 now people are wanting like £40 a lamp and £400 for a box of 12 and one absolute spacker wanting £979 for 24 lamps.

And lanterns i best not get started on those. I refuse to buy lanterns off ebay and i think everyone else should as well.

Stuff like that pisses me off. You see it with other “vintage industrial steampunk” stuff too...

Have you see the other stuff they're selling? All horrendously overpriced. The listings are awfully similar to those sold by www.trainspotters.co.uk (don't go there unless you want to get angry!).

If you did that with a lot of other stuff, it'd be verging on fraud!......

More than I'd pay, but I bet if you got a price for them off Philips, you'd be paying that for the last load of them. Oh and they'll be crap too!

I say we put on the ultimate steampunk festival!
We run it for a few years and gather them all up into one place.
Once they are all gathered into a manageable cubic area they can all be seen to at once accordingly ;devil
Gotta have me, a good... LASAGA!
