No real surprise there. With the speed at which most councils are phasing out SOX, even with the remaining orders they received, won't be that much work. Probably find they were expecting more orders than they actually got, so have decided just to close it down early. I'd love to have a look around that place before it does go, be interesting to see how much in the way of other lamp production lines (fluorescent, etc) still exists, all be it unused. You can bet this'll get demolished to make way for loads of crappy flats and houses.
