What a rip-off. I think I paid £12 for mine a couple of years ago, then got given another one this year. These pop up on eBay from time to time, but this is the most expensive one I've seen yet.

She will be lucky to get that for it. Some sellers seem to know nothing about what they are selling or what price it should be.

A little research is always a good idea. When listing stuff like this, eBay will also give you a guide on the price to list it, given what others have sold for in the past. Enough of these have been listed on eBay in the past, so it should give you a reasonable idea. This will have been the case with this listing, she's just chosen to ignore this. What's known as a 'greedy fucker'

Exactly, they're simply not worth what she thinks they are, same as all these 'explosion proof' fittings you see listed for hundreds or even thousands of pounds. Some people are dreaming.

Same with the most Coughtrie lights you find on ebay.

Don't even go there! I saw a pack of 2 swan necks (just a bit of 20mm bent, threaded ally tube) being sold for over £100 on there. they still fucking make that part!!!

Coughtrie should bring back all of their older and now very much in fashion designs themselves, they'd make a killing and push all these greedy fuckers off eBay overnight. Coughtrie stuff on eBay is pretty much without exception, a massive rip-off!

I wouldn't say that they are even all that rare, they come up on Ebay quite regularly. The only problem I had was finding one that wasn't hundreds of miles away.

There worth fuck all really. Theyre shite to be honest. I got rid of mine to Amtrakuk Andy or Rob i think it was (?) and never looked back. Horrible things lol

They had their place, at the time, a unique design. Not the most attractive of fittings, but one of those things I decided it wouldn't hurt to have. Cutting edge back when they were made tho!
