Fantastic piece of non-biased reporting there from the BBC. Mentioning so much of the usual about climate change and nothing at all positive.

One would imagine so. To be fair, manufacturers have probably not stopped trying to push LED like a plague even when the ban was lifted - more money in that tech for them, so why bother making incandescent. It's the same here, no-one will push anything other than LED now.

With the advent of decent pearlescent LED filament lamps. I don't really see why anybody would want to still use incandescent for general lighting tbh.
