Stubborn to start 180w SOX lamps

Anything to do with discharge lamps mercury, SON, SOX etc and their control gear! Do you just need information on how to run a lamp correctly? Post it here!

I've been doing a lot of digging on this. The general, overall consensus from people seems to be that motor-start-run caps are essentially the same as lighting caps and I have found the exact same caps fitted to fans and SON gear trays among others. There are plenty of 'motor' capacitors on Ebay

The one I have came c/w a 20uf 300v cap.
I'm sure a 20uf 400v motor run cap would work fine.
