It’s weird how some companies can make decent ones, and some not??
I’ve now worked at Fords for five years, one of the very first LED battens I ever fitted was the 3rd one along on the first row in workshop one, it was a Saxby Hydron twin six foot.......
It’s STILL there and STILL working today, thats five years running 7 days a week, 12 hours a day!

It’s TWICE outlived it’s crappy Lena Lighting counterparts that have had to all be replaced completely, and with some of the replacements now packing up too, (about 14 to date), the Saxby keeps going!, it’s not dimmed, not changed colour, and is just as bright as the day I fitted it!

Now why can’t others do the same?

Some are built to different standard. The ones you are talking about probably have better cooling, better LEDs and just overall better.

Their two strips of diodes, each with their own driver, mounted on a steel tray in an all steel body, the drivers are Shengzhou made.
I’ve noticed now Ansells Tornado Pro is using the same mounting set up, but sadly using one Tridonic driver to run both strips!, I’m not a big fan of Tridonic driver’s but our wholesale doesn’t stock Saxby, just Ansell ;confused
