Lighting related pet hates?

Any sort of discussion to do with any lighting whether it be vintage to modern!

People advertising LED lamps as using 80% or something less energy with people failing to realise that they are comparing it to incandescent and not understanding that fluorescent and CFL ect *Already* uses 80-odd percent less energy than incandescent!

Really pisses me off when people refer to lamps as "light bulbs".... they are lamps, not bulbs! :)
Fluorescent lights being called strip lights
Bits of differences in the 'English language' between countries...
Both of these two are the normal names for said items here!

I have some of those type of bulbs waiting to be planted :) .. probably won't happen til May though.

The term "fixture" bugs me too tbh. I prefer fitting or luminaire ect.
