They seem to be comparing that lifetime to the 1000 hour lifetime that incandescent were claimed to get. Most of the customers will probably have anything but incandescent already installed. Most good quality fluorescent tubes can easily do 25,000 hours too. 25k hours seems quite low for LED too tbh.
