1st Anniversary of the EU Mercury Lamp Ban

Today marks the 1st Anniversary of the EU Mercury Lamp Ban which forbids the manufacture of or import of lamps to the EU.

I am pleased to see that you don't have to look far still to see the lamps for sale - all the common wattages are available at many lighting wholesalers, suppliers and of course eBay!

Long live the Mercury Vapour Lamp! (no pun indented) :)

The bright side u can still buy mercury lamps in
The USA but 8 years into the mercury ballast bans. And we can get around them.
