LED giving u problems in shops

Any sort of discussion to do with any lighting whether it be vintage to modern!

LED giving u problems in shops

Last times I was on the holiday in California
I and silverliner walked into one shop that have LED conversion In Auto Zone a auto part shop. Anyway I did not Last 5 mins there cause of Eye Strain and 60 Hz flicker did not help either. Have any one here have that problem across the pond?

Oh yes. Because they are using cheap & nasty lamps with shite dropper circuits instead of a proper driver!

Not for me, I`m fortunate not to be able to detect it, but I believe it can be quite a problem for some.
One of our stores personnel, Heidi is one such people, it can give her headaches!

Not quite on the same subject, but I find that certain makes of car with LED rear lights really screw with my eyes if I follow them. Despite being run on the 12v DC battery, the stupid circuitry they install makes the fucking things strobe :(

Funny you should mention that Rich, i followed a Merc along the M6 on the way home last night with LED number plate lamps that were that bright, you couldn`t see the bloody numbers!! :?

Surly that can`t be legal?

I agree that LED brake lights are too bright. They are often used on cars with electronic parking brake where the driver finds it necessary to keep their foot on the brake when stopped. As are some of the ridiculous strobing LED flashers used on emergency vehicles. Yes you can't help but see the police car, but they are so blinding and distracting that you can't see anything else! Brighter isn't always better.

Led is giving me a problem in life TBH! Even HF is a joy compared to that shit!

I find that the strobing you get with some vehicle LED lights is the big problem, makes my eyes go funny. You notice it especially if you blink, or turn your head quickly. But yea, too bright as well!
