A new low...

Postby FrontSideBus » Tue Aug 10, 2021 9:05 pm

Was out in Wales today, around Bala and I spotted a new style of sign light being installed that I've not seen before.
I didn't get any photos but I can only describe the fitting as an oversized shower head with LED's where the water usually comes out... :D
It looked utter shite! lol

Sounds like you are talking about the Glasdon sign lights.

There is 2 just down from Tesco at Bishop Auckland.

DDC also used TMP Apollo (St Johns Road) and Urbis Nano (Willington) for sign lighting at one point.

Eurgh. It looks like a cross between a shower head and a 1950s vacuum cleaner attachment.

This one is the only one I know of. It's used as a sign light near me. It day burns most of the time and the LEDs seem to have gone a bit yellow over time.
