The Ampera curse comes to Middlewich!!

Postby AngryHorse » Sat Aug 29, 2015 12:11 pm

As you come out of the bottom of our road and go right, about 500 yards down, theres a new housing estate going up.
A few weeks ago the street lighting columns went in, but minus the lanterns.
I`ve been past there this morning, and the dreaded Ampera has appeared on the columns!, LOL fail is looming for the future!

I dunno rich depends the 16 chip has been ok so far as the Led's aren't driven as hard only 1.5W per led where as the 32 and 48 are driven harder at 2.2W with with any luck they are over driving the ones down the road from you at 2.2 lol.

If their the same as I'm thinking of, they look shit, especially when mounted on horizontal arms, looks really cheap and tacky.

I sometimes think Leeds didn't do bad, Iridium SON here. No LED generally, well for the next 15 year anyway (Until the PFI runs out)

They've also made an appearance in Durham on the bridge. Nice city centre too then there's some bleeding amperas stuck on columns that had Urbis K-Luxes on with CDMT Lamps

That;s the one. the National Savings building / Passport office. Last I heard it was getting sold off and demolished. Bit of a shame as it's a real 1960s architecture landmark - everyone knows it ;)
