The Lamp Room

Was walking about college (which I have mentioned before has a few gems tucked away), went to a part I had not been to before at the top of some stairs, lo and behold there was a single 2ft 40w batten from the late 70s, complete with an early 2000s Hungarian GE 2ft 40w tube! Must have some NOS to keep it running 24/7, but I was very surprised to say the least, I had never actually seen an indoor 2ft 40w installation in the flesh before!

Interesting. Was it really a 40W fitting (big and chunky to house the brick ballast) or was it just the wrong tube in a 20W fitting? I've certainly seen that before.

The fitting might contain 2 ordinary 20W chokes
