I spotted this the other day….ebay never shocks me anymore. If your not getting Free wasps your getting smashed lamps!

Yes the stuff people try and sell is getting ridiculous. I think in that state £7.50 would be more appropriate than £75!
There is a similar SW.6 on there too, in no worse a condition but without the wasps for £20 which is a bit more reasonable.

To be fair, I'd probably have just binned that.

Sometimes they are too far gone, it would be worth saving the glass though if it's undamaged and just scrapping the metal.

Yeah I had a feeling they did, they've gone down the fake industrial route with them and marketed them with those squirrel cage lamps and the like. They'd look more authentic with a pearl 100W GLS lamp fitted really...

Yeah, they still make the SW10 however, for some reason they stopped making the FS10. They still sell the clear bowl but 50 quid for something not far from a jam jar seems expensive lol.

Most of Coughtrie lights on their site have those decorative LED lamps which just look wrong in them in my opinion. They definitely look better with their originally intended lamps, not some decorative LED thing that wouldn't put out any useful light.

Yeah I agree, they came out in the 50's, not really the era of early incandescent lamps that those LED's are trying to imitate.
I guess the FS.10 didn't have the same industrial appearance of some of the others, so probably doesn't fit with what people want them for nowadays.
