That is very interesting. I had the Fuse blow a few years ago on a 18W GE Lamp, I did try the same, however the wire broke so deep in the stem that there was no way getting to it. Thankfully i found another one a few years later.

Yeah sometimes they do break further down.

Yeah, with the 55, the Chinese may be able to copy them perfectly, but they’ll never master the process like we did 😎

Well we did have quite a head start lol. There was probably all sorts of hidden processes that were done to improve lamp life that are not apparent when you reverse engineer a lamp.
