How much fluorescent is everyone still seeing out and about now?
It seems like almost every 600x600mm modular has been replaced with those insipid LED panels now!
I guess many remaining installations are now only hanging on by the tubes that are in them now and once they go EOL that will be it.
The supply of T5 tubes has declined a lot in the last year from what I have seen, it has been quite hard to find any quantity of tubes for relamping at the usual suppliers, though T8 is perhaps still a little easier to get hold of.
Having said that there are still a few nice installations to be seen here and there, some less used so not worn out or replaced yet and others just well maintained and still in service.

At work we still have some 5ft FL with 58W tubes, but that's it basically. With T5 it becomes to difficult to sources spares, for whatever reason and most other places are with LED now.
From Germany. Open for any trades. Especially interested in british lighting. Please ask questions!

Nice to hear of a few still about!
Yes T5 have become very hard to source now, a lot of the shops that have still got T5 high bays are looking worn out now, so I doubt they will manage to get enough lamps together to group relamp them all?
There still seems to be a reasonable amount of T8 tubes available so hopefully that will keep a lot of them going for now.

I still look after a fair bit - still install it too in places I know I'll be maintaining, or areas such as lofts where it's basically never going to fail. Imagine how long an LED driver would last in a toasty loft...
Bad choices make good stories!

Here in the USA u still find Fluorescent installs in T8 and spotty T12s here and there. Sadly now 8 foot tubes getting
Very pricy and cost just as much as a LED repkacement tubes
I already notice F14T12s , F15T12, Appliance fluorescents.
And odd size tubes are on the chopping block first to go.
The 6 foot and 8 foot slimelines going to be next. The rest of fluorescent tubes will still be in demand. Until start dropping off for LEDs.

Missed these two posts!
I can imagine an LED driver getting roasted in a loft (similar for HF ballasts for that matter) even when not powered the heat would probably degrade them.
I always found it interesting T12 was so readily available still in the US, most of ours was killed off by bans long before LED got to them.

At my workplace it is all LED for the 600x600 modular recessed lighting
but the atrium to the mens toilets have 4x T5 recessed fluorescent lighting and at the far end of the building where our office is part of, there are some Thorn Escort 2x 8W bulkhead fixtures
However I walked by some empty office spaces at the business park of my workplace and they have some fluorescent 4x 18W fixtures
