What a load of crap, basically a sales pitch for LED tubes
As we all know 1-10V and Dali dimmable ballasts have been about for years and work fine!

What a load of poorly written crap that is. Full of inaccuracies, errors and just made up bullshit. I have an office full of dimmable fluorescent and it works just fine. With the quinetic wireless switching systems that exist now, you can do 1-10v dimming with NO wires to the switch.

Yep bullshit that's the word for it. The seem to be confusing standard domestic dimmer switches with professional dimming fluorescent systems too. As for "creepy intermittent flickering light" wtf are they on about
Interesting Quinetic do a 1-10V dimming module, might have to look into that as it would be cool to do a 1-10V batten tbh.
About the only thing worthy of note when dimming fluorescent is to burn new tubes in for 100 hours before dimming to achieve the full rated life, and I see that isn't mentioned in the article.

That's because the person who wrote it doesn't know about burning in tubes. Just like they don't actually know anything else about dimming fluorescent.

Yep all that is, is another slag off about fluorescent to promote LED and unfortunately there are all too many people happy to lap it up.
Just like when fluorescent was slated for flicker, when HF and electronic CFL never did and the problem is ironically far more likely with cheap LED nowadays.
