Came across this you tube video today explaining why some LED lamps strobe...

The pencil test at about 7 minutes is exactly the effect I'm having with these Chinese LED Candle Lamps, but it seems the seller is going to refund.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00UW7XHGU arrived today - no flicker whatsoever... IF you want LED bulbs I could recommend these. Not sure why but seems pot luck with of the "filament" LED lamps.

Even a Minisun Antique style filament lamp also has flicker and it wasn't cheap at £15

Interesting vid but that looks like a slow steady blinking, The problem with the latest load of filament style LED is a flicker.. About 100 Hz and the lamps were new.. maybe its the latest cost saving as apparently only some can see the 1xx Hz flicker
