It's like they didn't even bother to try! Almost like 'I know, lets get a normal batten, stick some LED tape on the cover plate and then bodge a bit of opal plastic over it' on and 'we can call it a new product and charge 5x what a normal batten would cost'

Those were largely my thoughts on the matter - it looks crap! At least design something that looks half decent if you want people to 'upgrade' to it

Hold on.. replace a 70w single t8 6000lw (85.74 lpw)
With a 96w 9200lw (95.8w lpw)

So actually your upping the wattage for a single 6ft replacement.. when a good 6ft tube can get closer to that lw

And the lifespan is only a mere 10'000 more hours than a good life tube.. i think you're wasting your time putting one of those up..

Its a bit lower, taking into account your gear losses, T8 70watt 840 tube is 6550 lumens, total circuit watts for a 6 foot is 82watts, so lm/W are 79.8.
But a 94watt LED batten seems a little high, when you consider a normal LED batten for 6 foot replacement are only about 60watt???
