Greek streetlighting

Just got back from a nice holiday around Greece. We all know how much of a shit state Greece is and you can tell by just looking at the streetlighting. In Athens they had SON and MH but outside almost everywhere they were sticking CFL's into almost everything, stick, swirly and even what look like Philips SL's...

Bet it's not as bad as the streetlighting I saw in Havana in Cuba a few yrs back - literally 3-phase cables hanging out of column doors, bare wires everywhere and columns / lanterns that must have been in need of replacement for well over 40 yrs. Amazingly the odd one still worked!
Bad choices make good stories!
