Phosco P177 on seven bracket.
A small snippet of whats to come from here on in. Seen here on my purpose built display column, the Phosware P177 goes down as easily the smallest side entry gearless mercury lantern ever. Its very clean and basic lines are complimented by the equally elegant seven bracket.
The purpose of the whole column will be for displaying and lighting these now mostly extinct lanterns in a setting more original to their intended purpose. I have wired 7 different gear trays with different control gear to allow me to run each and every gearless lantern correctly.

Only this one (for now) And I struggled to get permission to even put it here. It was however installed long before the shed was bought and put up.

I quite like this. Was it neighbours you had to get permission from?

I'm liking the combination here, very nice! I really want to get a short column, with a flange plate on the base so I can use it indoors to display lanterns

This did actually have a flange plate already welded on, however it was totally destroyed and rotten in places. Still whack the soil down hard enough and its not moving anywhere.

what colour is it? looks like a BS 4800 colour of moorlands green?
Dave   [02 Apr, 2020 at 08:38 AM]
The colour is 10B21 Lizard Green. It’s the same colour Dudley use for their street furniture, I took a liking to it and had a batch made myself

that must still be a BS4800 colour with a code like that, looks very like moorlands green which was also used for painting lamp posts in areas of staffordshire in the 90's

Moorlands green is actually 12 B 21 so close !
