Nice collection there! I don't use facebook so it is good to see things like this on the forums.
I dont like facebook either, one of the reasons I created this site
Yeh I may delete Facebook now seeing as this site is up and running!! Is there any 6' SRS ballasts there Jonathan as I'm after a couple!!!!???
Facebook groups are still quite good just a shame it's full of LEDLovers
This is a nice collection of quality ballasts. Look to be mostly from the 70s & 80s.
Theres some even older black bli ones at the bottom and a couple of those brown varnished ekco ones.
How much would you sell a couple of the 75W SRS types for?
Actually I may use a couple of the chokes out those glam mix fittings Dan?
yeah use the ones out of that spare gear tray I gave you
Still not got round to trying those SRS 75w you gave me Dan, must do soon!
Glammox fucking predictive text
Was it you rob that I gave those glammox ballasts to was it?
Yes, you gave me two.
I have 2 big steel boxes of ballasts up the loft, one has 6 250watt SON ballasts in it!, I don`t know how it hasn`t fell through the ceiling!

And how many electricians today would save ballasts from fittings to repair others with. How many electricians today would even know HOW to repair a fluorescent light (save for those on boards like this)? It's sad, but they'd find any excuse now just to rip the fitting out and replace it with LED.
Time is money for most self employed sparks though, its probably quicker to change the fitting?
But that said, the longer you're there, the more you earn.....
i save old ballasts to repair old fittings lol, and surplus get weighed in for scrap
looks like a big philips polyester filled ballast at the bottom there too, the diamond logo says polyester filled :-p
