Cool fittings in the window of a long defunct (and kind of abandoned) lighting shop
|
I discovered this shop a year and a half ago, and it already looked like it had been closed up for a long time. It is all very mysterious, both the location of the shop (a quiet residential street with massive trees almost covering the storefront itself) and the lack of info I could find of it online. I'd love to know who still owns it, under the dust and dirt there are some cool fixtures and lamps I wouldn't mind purchasing (this photographed stuff is only in the front part, allegedly there is also a showroom out the back!) I particularly like the 80s cube-shaped PAR fitting, complete with Wotan branded Osram Concentra PAR lamp also from the 80s. The silver globe lamp (inside an antique looking fitting) is cool too; due to the black area near the base I think it might be CFL inside??? The little R50 reflector pendants are quite neat too, they'd look good in my lounge! The shop is all dirty and dusty, and the fact all the fittings visible have GLS lamps and CFLs suggests it's been closed for a long long time too, maybe even 10 years. One light is still on though (see previous gallery photo) so presumably someone still looks after the shop of sorts, even if it has that closed and abandoned feel to it.
