Holophane? HID? fixture seen on a vacant building
Saw this near the station today, looks quite interesting. It looks like an miniature indoor HID fitting that has been mounted on the wall outside near the doorway! I wonder if it ran a GLS lamp because of its location? I would love to get this and convert it to 50w or 80w Mercury!

That has an air of Designplan about it, or Holophane

I was thinking Designplan too - specifically the 'Brunel' range, but on investigation, those don't have a tapered base and the bowl isn't quite as deep. Could be something else by them, but I'm wondering if it's made by someone else entirely?

Definitely not a Brunel, I have one of those.
I think it's Holophane. I'm sure I've seen a pic of one somewhere

It is similar to the Lithonia VR4 but have a different base. I have 8 units that were saved from under a bridge a few years ago, that were ceiling mounted. Of them 6 were Lithonia VR4's with horizontal lamp, and 2 like this one but with beige base with vertical lamp. They were originally 100W E27 MH, but some were lamped with 125W mercs

I think Holophane is the most likely bet to be fair....
