Philips Argenta lamps in 100w and 150w
|
These 2 rare lamps were won in an Ebay lot for 99p, amongst other 90s-2000s lamps of no particular interest. I'm very pleased to get this pair as I've been after some Argenta lamps for quite a while! Both lamps were made in the Hamilton plant in Scotland, the left example appears to be the oldest (with very little etch remaining) and has quite a large envelope size for an 100w lamp. The example on the left has a different filament construction and appears slightly later, even then it has the older numerical code used by the Hamilton plant before the later Alpha-numerical code was introduced. Both examples are in working condition.
