Thorn Clipper triple tube finally working
Yes, the Clipper is now working 10 months after first acquiring it. I had been searching around for a 3D printing company that'd be willing to take on this project, however annoyingly, everywhere I went requested that you make the 3D model yourself and send it in to be printed. I might be technically minded but I ain't that good, and since I discovered the middle lamp holder of the original smashed lamp holder was 100% present, I scrapped the idea of 3D printing and went down the replication route.

I put out a request for a twin tube lamp holder, of which a collector helped me out with one. From there it was 4 or 5 hours of careful cutting, sanding, filing and gluing which left me with a very very close replication of the original. Of course the first thing I had to do was get it fitted back the fitting, and get some power to it, which saw all 3 tubes spring into action, likely the first time in many years. This revealed the fitting to be of very low hours, as the gear is still practically silent. Overall, a very successful job, and now all thats left is to restore and install the fitting.

That is one heck of an amazing fixture - a 3 tube type - extremely rare
