Interesting remote reflector floodlights.
I spotted these cool lights in the former Liverpool Exchange railway station, the frontage of which is now incorporated into an office building known as Mercury Court.
The lobby of which is lit by these suspended lighting units with 4 spotlamps in each unit with each side aimed at it's own separately suspended reflector unit.
I've not been here at night but I bet these produce an awesome diffused light!

This was also shot on film.

Theres a very similar set up in Dane Bank college in Crewe Cool, although the spots are all wall mounted

I wonder if those suspended panels are there not to just look interesting, but to catch the sunlight and direct it down as it seems to be doing?

Definitely the white ones, I bet they bounce sunlight all around the room?

There was a lot of refracted sunlight from them, really lit up the whole area. The photo looks a lot darker than it really was due to the small exposure latitude that you get with slide film. I was exposing for the highlights.
