Designplan Quadrant emercency
The Quadrant range from Designplan was designed to be rugged and vandal resistant, so much so that the emergency variants, as seen here, had to have a separate battery and relay box, mainly due to the overly complex wiring system inside. The bowl design shares that of the Fern Howard Minimax, and is pretty tough to remove, again for vandal proofing. The example here was given to me by Danny, so many thanks to him.

Have a school with a load of these sadly the external black colour ones rusted out mainly, but the inside version have atlas ballasts and come standard with an LEL multipulse starter and a lot still have original 1994 GB GE 2D lamps!

This is a smart looking 2D fitting, and not plastic either!

These covers are much thicker and better made than the fern Howard type!
