Rich pointed out someone could take a dislike to opticells and shoot it out with an air soft!, and their a bit too rare now to risk that!

I like Arcs, probably my favourite lantern. Interesting choice of lamp however lol.

I reckon it works pretty well tbh but I think 35w CDM-T in 930 would be awesome in this.

Heres the thing though, if you look at the night shot with the dog in, it really doesn,t need 35 watts of HID lamp? And then your back to buying the lamps and gear that are quite expensive!, sourcing specialised lamp holders, and given how quick halide are not being specified for commercial use anymore, wondering whether your even going to be able to get lamps in the future?

Oh yeah it doesn't need it for sure, but as enthusiasts it's always good seeing HID in use lol. As you say though, now is the time to stock up on lamps while you can. I have probably another 10 years of 18w SOX left for the Gamma 6.

Out of all the SON lanterns my favourite has always been the Arc, as they look stylish both on spigot arms AND post top mounted Very Happy
