Coughtrie ARP.16P
Another eBay find from a while back, comes Coughtries not so well known ARP.16 in prismatic. I've always classed these as a blatant ripoff design of Thorns 2DFV16. Whilst its of far higher quality, being of an al metal design, the thing that lets it down is the plastic lugs either side of the cover. Over time plastic gets more and more brittle, I can see a lot of these having the lugs accidentally broken off resulting in cable ties being needed to hold the cover back in place. Despite that, the covers refractors do a fantastic job of breaking up the shape of the lamp, spreading light very evenly around the area it lights.

Interesting light, not the usual Coughtrie "inflated up" rounded shape. From what i seen in Coughtrie SFB's (we had them in the 80s) the plastic of the cover is really tough even after 30 years, so they might have expected to get away with those tabs

Yeah it doesn't look very Coughtrie style to me - more like Thorn, Thorlux or even Designplan - still a nice design
